【What is Hasami ware?】
Hasami ware, which has been produced in the town of Hasami in Nagasaki prefecture for almost 400 years, is renowned for its usability and simplicity. Originally producing pottery, Hasami later shifted to ceramics using cobalt blue and celadon underglazes. The design of Hasami ware blends modern and traditional elements, making it suitable for both everyday use and special occasions.

【Product information】
The Kiriko pattern, traditionally found on glassware, has been recreated in ceramics by the Taichi kiln with great care and attention to detail. The intricate cuts in the design allow for a delicate application of the glaze on the carved parts, creating a unique and stunning product. In recognition of their efforts, Taichi kiln won the 2016 Nagasaki Design Award.
