Kanayama ware utilizes a technique from Sue pottery known as "Yakishime," in which the works are fired at a high temperature of 1350 ℃ without any glaze. This method results in pieces with remarkable depth, as the interplay of flame and ash creates various textures. The firing process gives rise to a diverse range of unique pieces, each with its own individual character.
