【What is Mino ware?】
Mino ware boasts an over 1300-year-long history, starting from the 16th or 17th century in the Toki Area (Toki, Tajimi, Mizunami, Kani), Gifu prefecture. In 1978, Mino ware was recognized as the Traditional crafts of Japan by the Ministry of Economics and 15 different kinds of Mino ware are designated today. Mino ware is the most famous Japanese tableware, and Gifu prefecture dominates more than 50% of the ceramic production market in Japan.

Mino ware has developed new glazes in each era and innovated new technology to produce various shapes and colours to match people's tastes and demands. The unique feature of Mino ware is it does not refer to a specific style as 15 different types of Mino ware exist today.
You can enjoy a variety of glazes, shapes, designs and styles from Mino ware.
