Meotobashi Chopsticks Gift - Set of 2 | Tsugaru Vidro
【What is Tsugaru vidoro?】
Tsugaru vidoro is one of the traditional crafts of Aomori in the northern part of Japan. Hokuyo Glass Co., Ltd originally produced glass fishing floats, but when the plastic floats took over the market, they started to use the same glass-blowing techniques to make vases and other glassware products. Blending with over 100 different colours, the glass artisans capture the colours of Japan's four seasons and sceneries. Tsugaru vidoro is meticulously crafted by hand. Works of Tsugaru Vidoro make a great gift for special occasions or someone special!

Why chopsticks? What is Meoto-bashi?
For Japanese people, chopsticks are essential items for everyday life. Some chopsticks are very luxurious, using high-quality wood and lacquer. Most of them are completely handmade by a traditional craftsman.
Meoto-bashi(夫婦箸) refers to two pairs of chopsticks. Meoto is the meaning of a couple, wife and husband. Japanese chopsticks are usually given as a gift as a Meoto-bashi pair. Sending chopsticks as a gift is to wish someone a "long life", "health" and "a bridge to happiness" (the Japanese word for chopstick ‘hashi’ also means ‘bridge’). A perfect gift for someone special or yourself.
